Asia Tech Wire (July 17) -- Vietnamese low-cost airline Vietjet and Lao authorities last week announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement a number of aviation-related projects, including a plan to set up a MRO facility in Laos.

VietJet Air will work with the Lao civil aviation authorities to implement projects to further expand international transportation development, which will bring at least 2,500 job opportunities.

The two sides will plan to establish a local MRO facility in Laos, with the Vietjet Aviation Academy responsible for training newcomers to ensure compliance with international aviation standards.
