Asia Tech Wire (Sep 4) -- The U.S. will allocate $50 million to Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) on its semiconductor technologies project, according to Reuters.
The U.S. Commerce Department said on Tuesday it plans to allocate $50 million to HPE to support, among other things, the expansion of its existing plant in Oregon to promote the development of key semiconductor technologies.
The proposed funding would support technologies that serve life sciences instrumentation and technical hardware used in artificial intelligence applications and other programs, the department said.
