Asia Tech Wire (Oct 15) -- The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Monday that it has begun a preliminary evaluation of about 35,950 Ford Flex vehicles in the U.S. for a potential rear camera failure.

Ford said it is working with the NHTSA to support its investigation.

The NHTSA said it has received about 23 reports, alleging that the rearview camera image was blank, distorted or inverted on 2019 model year vehicles.
