Asian Tech Press (Jan 20) -- SK Innovation and Ford plan to build an electric vehicle battery factory in Europe. The factory will produce 44GWh of batteries per year after completion, enough to produce 600,000 electric cars with a range of more than 500km.

SK Innovation and Ford's plan to build a factory in Europe may be announced in the first half of this year at the earliest. After the factory is completed, it is expected to have 18 battery production lines. The batteries produced will be used in Ford's F series electric pickups and other models, including pure electric cars and hybrid cars.
