Asian Tech Press (Mar. 4) -- TikTok's Chinese version Douyin is rumored to have a number of content leaders transferring to the VR (virtual reality) business.
It's said that Song Binghua, the head of Douyin's variety show, and Wu Zuomin, the director of the company's entertainment department, will soon be transferred to Pico, a Chinese VR gear maker acquired by TikTok's parent company ByteDance.
The transfer of some executives at Douyin, indicates that ByteDance will begin to increase its investment in VR business.
