Asian Tech Press (Nov 3) -- Tesla's Shanghai superfactory delivered 72,115 electric vehicles in October, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) estimated in a report on Thursday.
So far, the cumulative deliveries of Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory have reached about 771,000 units in 2023, which has already exceeded the full-year 2022 deliveries of about 710,000 units.
In terms of exports, Tesla Shanghai Super Factory exported more than 43,000 EVs in October, up 42% YoY.
Tesla noted in the release of its Q3 2023 financial results that the Shanghai factory had expanded its actual capacity from 750,000 units per year in the second quarter to more than 950,000 units per year in the third quarter.
"Giga Shanghai remains our main export hub," Tesla said in its financial statement.
