Tesla China completes Supercharger plant construction

Asian Tech Press (SEP 07) -- According to media reports, the construction of Tesla's charging pile production facility in China has been completed. The facility was officially completed on August 20, with the commissioning period from August 21 to September 25 and the expected acceptance period from September 26 to October 30.

The facility officially started construction on January 20 this year, with a construction area of nearly 10,000 square meters and an annual output of 10,000 Superchargers.

It is understood that the facility produces the third generation of Tesla's Superchargers, with a maximum charging power of up to 250KW. Take Model 3 as an example, it can be recharged for up to about 250km of range in 15 minutes at peak power state.

As of August 2021, the number of available Superchargers in mainland China exceeded 900, and with over 700 destination charging sites, Tesla's charging network has covered more than 330 cities in China.
