Asian Tech Press (Dec 31) -- Tesla Inc. announced the opening of the first Tesla store in Xinjiang on Friday, a sign that Tesla has officially laid out its offline store and service network in the Uyghur Autonomous Region.
The store is located in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, and integrates sales, after-sales and delivery. It is the first Tesla store in Xinjiang, the 11th store in the far northwest of China and the 211th store in the country.
Besides the Urumqi Tesla Center, which opened this time, Tesla has also opened 11 stores in Xi'an, Lanzhou and Yinchuan, etc.
In addition, Tesla has built 2 Supercharging stations and 14 Supercharging piles in Urumqi. Throughout Xinjiang, the U.S. EV maker has constructed and opened 7 Supercharging stations and 36 Supercharging piles, together with 6 Destination charging stations and 12 destination charging piles to guarantee the charging experience of car owners.
