BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. 1. Recall Number S2025M0165I: Effective immediately, 44,535 2015 Tang series vehicles manufactured between March 28, 2015, and July 28, 2017 are being recalled. Due to component design and selection issues, some vehicles within this recall may experience malfunctioning active discharge functions in the drive motor controller during use. In extreme cases, this can cause circuit board corrosion and disable the vehicle's pure electric drive mode, posing a safety hazard. BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. will entrust authorized dealers to provide a free software update for vehicles within the recall, switching the discharge method to motor discharge to eliminate the safety hazard. 2. Recall Number S2025M0166I: Effective immediately, 71,248 Yuan Pro pure electric vehicles manufactured between February 6, 2021, and August 5, 2022 are being recalled. Due to a manufacturing issue, some vehicles included in this recall may have improperly installed power battery gaskets, resulting in a compromised seal. Prolonged high-speed driving through water can cause water to enter the power battery, degrading insulation performance. In extreme cases, this can reduce power battery output, posing a safety hazard. BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. will entrust authorized dealers to reinforce the power battery housing with a special sealant for vehicles included in the recall, restoring waterproofing and eliminating the safety hazard.
