At the close of Hong Kong trading, the Hang Seng Index fell 2.48%, and the Sci-Tech Index fell 4.05%. ZTE (00763.HK) fell over 12%, BYD Electronics (00285.HK) fell over 8%, and SMIC (00981.HK) fell over 6%. Chow Tai Fook (01929.HK) bucked the trend and rose over 5%.
