Asian Tech Press (Jan 07) -- During CES 2022, Sony announced the imminent departure of the STARSPHERE project, with the satellite scheduled to be launched in 2022.

The satellite was developed by Sony, together with the University of Tokyo and JAXA, Japan's space agency, and is equipped with Sony image sensors and camera technology. The project entails the launch of a small satellite, including Sony cameras, the experience on the ground can freely manipulate the lens to observe the Earth and other planets.
