Recently Sony has officially brought more design details of the packaging of this product. For a fully recyclable design, the new Sony PS5 game console box tries to use paper material to replace plastic parts. The purpose is to protect the environment.

Officially, the box uses card inserts and pulp cushion trays to replace foam polystyrene or plastic trays; paper ties are used instead of plastic ties, and plastic protective bags for cables and instruction manuals are eliminated where feasible; the box shell eliminates the transparent plastic display window and adopts a closed design.

In addition, the outer packaging uses folded rather than glued hooks/carriers, reflecting environmental details everywhere.
