Asia Tech Wire (June 18) -- Polestar, the Geely-owned Swedish EV maker, on Monday announced plans to enter seven new markets next year, including France, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Thailand and Brazil.
France is the largest electric vehicle market in the European Union after Germany, which the company sees as a major opportunity for it.
Polestar will also launch the company's branded EVs in six additional markets through local distribution partnerships.
The company is working with existing and new partners to expand its retail footprint, as part of a shift to a non-genuine agency sales model across Europe.
