Asia Tech Wire (May 21) -- Market research firm Omdia expects the games market to return to growth from 2025 onwards.

According to Omdia's latest forecasts, 2024 will be challenging, with overall games revenue from software, hardware and advertising flat at $249 billion.

Despite this, Omdia remains optimistic about the long-term outlook for the market, which looks set to return to growth from 2025 onwards.

Omdia also predicted that the global games market will reach $304 billion in 2028.
