Asia Tech Wire (May 28) -- China's game market generated 22.432 billion yuan ($3.1 billion) in actual sales revenue in April 2024, down 4.21% month-on-month and 0.27% year-on-year, according to a new report from Chinese research firm Gamma Data.

The report identified the mobile game market as the main source of the decline.

Actual sales revenue in China's PC game market reached 5.642 billion yuan in the month, up 2.06% month-on-month and 1.47% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the actual sales revenue of Chinese self-developed games in the overseas market was $1.418 billion, a month-on-month decrease of 0.65% and a year-on-year increase of 7.03%.
