Asia Tech Wire (July 22) -- Nvidia is developing a version of its new flagship AI chips for the Chinese market that complies with current U.S. export controls, according to Reuters.

Nvidia announced its "Blackwell" chip series in March, with mass production set for later this year.

Within the series, the B200 is up to 30 times faster than its predecessor at certain tasks, such as providing answers from chatbots.

Nvidia will work with Inspur, one of its major distributor partners in China, on the launch and distribution of the chip, tentatively called the "B20," the report said, citing sources.

An Nvidia spokesperson declined to respond to the Reuters story, while Inspur did not respond at this time.
