Nvidia denies subpoena from U.S. DOJ over antitrust concerns
Sep.5,2024

Asia Tech Wire (Sep 5) -- Nvidia has not received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Justice, an Nvidia spokesperson said in a statement Wednesday.

The spokesperson said, "We have inquired with the U.S. Department of Justice and have not been subpoenaed."

"Nonetheless, we are happy to answer any questions regulators may have about our business," Nvidia stated.

This follows reports that the U.S. DOJ, which is gathering evidence of antitrust violations by Nvidia, sent subpoenas to the chipmaker and other companies, escalating its investigation into the tech giant.

Sources familiar with the matter said that the DOJ, which has previously issued questionnaires to companies, has now issued legally binding requests for information that the recipients must provide to it.
