Asia Tech Wire (June 17) -- A Chinese joint venture of Japanese automaker Nissan Motor will produce a new Voyah electric car, Chinese media outlets reported on Monday.
Dongfeng Nissan, Nissan's Chinese joint venture with Dongfeng Motor, will produce a new all-electric family SUV under the Voyah brand at its Wuhan Yunfeng plant, the reports said.
The new vehicle will feature a 109kWh high energy density battery pack with a maximum range of 901km.
Noticeably, the plant is the production base for Dongfeng Nissan's first all-electric model, the Ariya, which goes on sale in September 2022.
Founded in 2018, Voyah is Dongfeng Motor's second EV brand focusing on the premium segment.
