According to BusinessKorea, LG Chem will supply nickel-cobalt-manganese-aluminum (NCMA) quaternary battery cathode material to Tesla in July.

It is the first time LG Chem has commercially produced NCMA cathode material.

With a nickel content of 90 percent, the material will be used in the cylindrical batteries supplied by LG Energy Solutions for Tesla's SUV Model Y.
