Asia Tech Wire (July 17) -- The Japan Fair Trade Commissionon (JFTC) Wednesday conducted an on-site inspection of Visa Inc.'s subsidiary in Japan over alleged antitrust violations.
Visa may impose unreasonable transaction restrictions on credit card issuers, such as requiring the selection of payment services it offers or else raising fees.
Visa is the world's leading credit card company, holding the vast majority of the credit card market along with Mastercard.
