Asia Tech Wire (Oct 21) -- IBM on Monday released the latest version of its enterprise-oriented artificial intelligence models, hoping to capitalize on the trend of enterprises flocking to generative AI technologies.
IBM said the Granite 3.0 model will be open source, similar to other versions in IBM's Granite family of AI models.
In addition, IBM is offering a paid tool called Watsonx that can help run customized models in data centers.
Darío Gil, director of research at IBM, said the company trained the new Granite models using Nvidia's H100 graphics processing unit (GPU).
