Asian Tech Press (Oct 27) -- Huawei partner Seres Group (601127.SH) said Friday it has brought its premium luxury electric SUV Seres 5 to the Brazilian market.
The Chinese automaker held the Seres brand (Latin America) launch and a related signing ceremony on Oct. 25 local time in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Zhang Xingyan, president of the Seres overseas business unit, signed the deal with a Brazilian customer representative, marking the entry of the premium smart new energy vehicle brand into the Brazilian market, the largest economy in South America.
At the signing ceremony, Zhang Zhenping, Rotating Chairman and President of Seres, introduced the company's global strategic model of Seres brand, Seres 5, positioning it as a "premium sporty luxury electric SUV".
In addition to Latin America, at the end of June this year, Seres began delivering the Seres 5 in Europe, which is the automaker's first new energy vehicle, called the Seres SF5 in China.
In 2019, Seres began to cooperate with Huawei to build cars, launched a high-end electric car brand AITO Wenjie, with two models sold in China, the AITO Wenjie M5 and Wenjie M7.
