Asian Tech Press -- Hong Kong's local over-the-top (OTT) content platform Hmvod Ltd (8103.HK) announced on Tuesday evening that it will accept membership fees in Bitcoin from October this year.

Hmvod announced that customers of the publishing platform will be able to use bitcoin to pay monthly membership fees from the beginning of October this year. It will allow them to enjoy the service to watch popular movies and TV series from around the world and locally on the online platform.

The Hong Kong-listed OTT content provider said, "The Company is committed to opening up different payment platforms, including cryptocurrencies, in order to lead the entertainment technology boom."
