Asia Tech Wire (Sep 26) -- Google on Wednesday formally filed a lawsuit with the European Commission accusing Microsoft of anti-competitive behavior in the cloud computing market.
Google claimed that Microsoft uses unfair licensing terms to make it difficult for a large number of customers to use anything other than its Azure cloud infrastructure offerings through its dominant Windows Server and Microsoft Office products.
Microsoft also bundled its collaboration app Teams with its cloud platform, limiting user choice, Google said.
Google urged the European Commission to intervene, claiming the need for regulatory action to end Microsoft's market dominance and restore competitive balance.
