Asia Tech Wire (Oct 21) -- Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors, said in a recent interview that the company will be profitable from electric vehicles by the end of this year, in line with previous plans.
She also reiterated that GM plans to stop selling fuel vehicles by 2035 and aims to be carbon neutral by 2040.
GM suffered manufacturing and supply chain issues with battery production in late 2023 and caused delays in the launch of several electric vehicles.
But Barr said the company has now resolved those issues facing its EV business.
