Asia Tech Wire (Apr 29) -- French automaker Groupe Renault is in talks with Chinese electric car makers Li Auto and Xiaomi to expand cooperation on electric and intelligent vehicle technologies.
Francois Provost, head of Renault's procurement and partnerships department, said in a post on LinkedIn on Friday that the group's chief executive Luca de Meo has been "in pivotal conversations with industry leaders."
He said that during the Beijing Auto Show 2024, in addition to its existing partners such as Geely and Dongfeng Motor, Renault had also been discussing cooperation with other companies including Li Auto and Xiaomi.
Renault is already working with Geely on thermal and hybrid powertrains, and with Google and Qualcomm on smart cockpits.
