Asia Tech Wire (Nov 11) -- U.S. e-commerce platform eBay announced Saturday that it has partnered with Antom, a subsidiary of Ant International, to add Alipay as a new payment option on the platform.

The partnership allows buyers in mainland China to pay for their purchases on eBay with Alipay, a Chinese app that connects more than 80 million merchants to more than 1 billion users through digital payments.

Antom offers local acceptance services in more than 40 markets and supports multiple payment methods for instant settlement in multiple currencies.
