On October 13, 2021, the official website of the central bank of the People's Republic of China issued the Notice of the People's Bank of China on Strengthening the Management of Payment Acceptance Terminals and Related Businesses, which put forward a series of management requirements for acquirers and clearing structures. At the same time, barcode payment is also included in the regulation, with specific regulations on the use of personal receipt barcodes, which will take effect on March 1, 2022.
