Today, Kuaishou (快手) officially announced that it has signed an authorization cooperation agreement with China Media Group. The platform has received video-on-demand and short video rights for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

The platform has officially become a rights-holding broadcaster for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games. It will bring video content and multi-platform interactive experience of the Olympic Games to users.

This means that Kuaishou has become the world's first short video and live streaming platform to obtain the broadcast rights of the Olympic Games.

Kuaishou is a Chinese video-sharing mobile application with a solid user base outside of China's first-tier cities.
