After Intel, Huawei, SAIC, and others, Horizon Robotics also joins the Linux Foundation ELISA project.
Horizon Robotics announced that it had joined the Linux Foundation ELISA project as a Silver member of the Linux Foundation to support the construction of an open-source software ecosystem.
Currently, ELISA has 19 companies in the global automotive and software and hardware industries, including Intel, Nvidia, ARM, Huawei, and SAIC.
Horizon Robotics said that the automotive operating system must have functional safety to ensure the overall safety and reliability of the product. Joining the ELISA project, it can obtain critical operating system operational safety processes and technologies to help.
ELISA (Enabling Linux in Safety Applications) is an open-source project released by the Linux Foundation on Feb. 21, 2019.
According to Horizon Robotics, Linux is currently the world's largest open-source and open software ecology. It has been used on a large scale in smart cockpits and in-car entertainment systems.
