Asia Tech Wire (July 31) -- Chinese smart glasses maker INMO has recently closed a Series B round of funding of nearly 100 million yuan.
Prior to this, INMO has received several rounds of strategic investments from U.S. private equity firm Matrix Partners, China's Eagles Fund, Hello Group (NASDAQ:MOMO), Unity Ventures, 37GAMES and other investors.
Following this round of financing, the company intends to build its corporate headquarters in Chengdu, a city in southwestern China.
INMO said it will work with Mango Media, Momo and other internet companies to create a complete metaverse industry ecosystem in Chengdu in the future.
Founded in 2020, INMO takes consumer-grade AR glasses as the core of its business, and is the first manufacturer in China to realize mass production of wireless consumer-grade AR glasses.
