Asia Tech Wire (Aug 19) -- Japan's Canon Inc. will develop an entertainment business that utilizes mixed reality (MR) technology, which combines reality and virtual space.

Through this business, the company hopes to provide users with display devices and content that enable them to enjoy orchestral performances and sports games as if they were there.

Canon plans to launch the service within a year at the earliest.
