Japan's Canon Inc. announced on June 3 local time that it will close its only factory in Brazil, located in Manaus, Amazonas, in July this year.

Canon said in a statement that the closure of the plant in Brazil will not affect the company's current sales, customer service, warranty, product promotion of photography and printing, and imaging equipment products in Brazil. Canon also announced that it will launch new developments in the Brazilian market in the coming months.
