Asian Tech Press (Dec 27) -- Binance.US, the U.S. arm of Binance, the world's biggest cryptocurrency trading platform, said Thursday it has hired Intel Corp's top compliance executive as its first chief risk officer.

Intel's compliance chief Majalya will join Binance.US in January and will report directly to CEO Brian Shroder, the company said.

Sidney, a former trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice who ran the compliance offices of Oracle Corp. and Uber Technologies Inc., has been vice president on Intel's legal team and chief compliance officer since August 2019.

"In view of our focus to make Binance.US the most compliant and consumer-centric digital asset platform in the U.S., I know the organization will greatly benefit from Sidney's tremendous experience, talent, and judgement," said Brian Shroder, CEO of Binance.US.
