Asia Tech Wire (Apr 25) -- Audi AG unveiled the exclusive Q6L e-tron, a purely electric model built specifically for the Chinese market, at the Beijing Auto Show 2024 on Thursday.

The car is the first model that Audi has built for the Chinese market based on its Premium Platform Electric (PPE) car platform, with a range of more than 700 kilometers.

The Audi Q6L e-tron will also feature networking solutions developed specifically for the Chinese market, advanced driver assistance systems and a China-specific digital assistant.

Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle Co. Ltd., an electric vehicle joint venture between Audi and Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer FAW Group Corp., is responsible for the production of the Audi Q6L e-tron and other PPE models for the Chinese market.

As planned, the Q6L e-tron will enter mass production at the end of 2024 and deliveries will begin in 2025.
