Asian Tech Press (Dec 01) -- Volvo Cars warned that an industry-wide semiconductor shortage will continue into next year.

In August, Volvo Cars announced that its plant in Gothenburg will be temporarily shut down because of chip shortages. In addition, in June, the company's plant in Ghent, Belgium, had also shut down production due to chip shortages.
Volvo Cars said that the current supply chain remains constrained. However, although production is still below demand, the situation has been "improving month by month" since September.
