J&J booster shot 85% effective against hospitalization by Omicron, SA study says

Asian Tech Press (Jan 14) -- A South African study shows that Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine booster shot is up to 85% effective against hospitalization caused by the Omicron variant.

As Reuters reported, Glenda Grey, the head of South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC), said Friday that a J&J booster shot has shown 85% effectiveness in protecting against being hospitalised by the Omicron variant for 1-2 months after it is received.
