Hitachi reportedly to acquire U.S. software GlobalLogic for $9.6 billion

According to Nikkei, Hitachi, Japan’s largest integrated electrical machinery manufacturer, is to acquire U.S. software developer GlobalLogic for $9.6 billion, a move that will help Hitachi expand its technology services business.

The company’s shares fell 5.5% after the news was published. The data show that this would be one of Hitachi’s largest ever deals.
