Asian Tech Press (Sep 27) -- Founders of Chinese tech trio was once again absent from the Wuzhen Summit.

Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent, commonly known as the BATs, are three of China's most prominent technology firms. Their founders, Robin Li, Jack Ma, and Pony Ma, continued their absence from the World Internet Conference after 2020.

Pony Ma and Robin Li were last seen attending the 2021 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) held in Shanghai on July 8. While the billionaire Jack Ma has not made a public appearance for a long time due to the anti-monopoly regulation of Alibaba by the Chinese government.

However, after disappearing for 114 days, Jack Ma was seen in Pinghu, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang province on Sept. 1, visiting several farm sheds, seemingly inspecting Alibaba's digital agriculture base, according to media reports.

Some people speculate that Alibaba's next layout area is likely to be data-based "Modern agriculture".
