BOE expected to supply panels for Samsung's new budget smartphones

Asian Tech Press (Apr. 6) -- Chinese display maker BOE Technology Group Co. Ltd. may supply panels for Samsung's new budget smartphones, according to BusinessKorea.

The Korean media outlet said that BOE is developing panels for Samsung Electronics' new A13 and A23 budget smartphone series, which are scheduled to come out in May.

Citing a display industry insider, it's said that Samsung has proposed to BOE at the end of March to supply panels for its next-generation flagship smartphones, and the two companies are currently discussing technology validation and contract signing.
