Asia Tech Wire (Sep 4) -- Apple will use OLED displays in all iPhone models it sells from 2025, including its low-end model iPhone SE, according to Nikkei.

The move will exclude Sharp Corp. and Japan Display Inc. (JDI), two Japanese panel suppliers, from Apple's smartphone business, the report said.

About a decade ago, JDI and Sharp together accounted for about 70% of iPhone screen supply.

Recently, however, the two suppliers have only been supplying LCD displays for the iPhone SE, as Apple has shifted to OLED screens for its high-end iPhone models.
