Positioned as Apple's R&D center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area), the lab is Apple's lab with the widest coverage outside the U.S., and will develop a R&D team of more than 1,000 Chinese and foreign high-end talents.
With a total floor area of 20,000 square meters, the lab's first-phase project will focus on hardware development, smart manufacturing and joint R&D operations with local suppliers, and enhance its testing and research capabilities for products such as the iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision Pro.
