Apple could launch $2,000 Vision headset as early as next year

Asia Tech Wire (Oct 14) -- Apple could launch a $2,000 Vision headset as early as next year, according to a prediction by Bloomberg tech reporter Mark Gurman.

Gurman noted in a report Sunday night that Apple's Vision product team is working on at least four new devices.

He expects the low-end Vision headset to come out as early as next year, with the second-generation Vision Pro, which uses a faster chip, coming out in 2026.

The lower-end model, which will cost about $2,000, will likely use a lower-performance processor and cheaper materials, and eliminate the "EyeSight" feature.

Because of the lower price, Apple expects the device to sell at least twice as many units as the Vision Pro.
