Amazon may team up with Starbucks on launching a co-branded lounge
Oct.21,2021

Asian Tech Press (OCT 21) -- Amazon and Starbucks have been in talks to move Amazon's cashless Go store to a new co-branded coffee shop, according to Business Insider. The move is reportedly part of Amazon's Just Walk Out (cashier-less retail) technology expansion in its stores.

The project, internally codenamed "Verde," aims to create a casual-style café that offers Starbucks drinks as well as Amazon baked goods and hot dishes with no queues at the checkout, according to the report.

The store combines Amazon Go grocery items with Starbucks coffee drinks and other merchandise. It is designed to help consumers check out without waiting too long and have a more relaxing environment. The operation is expected to run under a new brand instead of being built under the Amazon or Starbucks brands.
