Asia Tech Wire (June 20) -- Air China will buy 100 homegrown C919 airplanes for about US$10.8 billion.
Air China Ltd. (0753.HK) announced Thursday that it has entered into an agreement with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (Comac) for the planned procurement of 100 C919 airplanes (extended-range) for a total price of about US$10.8 billion.
Under the agreement, Comac plans to deliver the 100 aircraft to the airline in batches from 2024 to 2031.
China Eastern Airlines signed an agreement with Comac last September to purchase 100 C919 aircraft.
