The accident in which Xiaomi SU7 caught fire on the highway and killed three people on board has attracted attention. According to previous reports by The Paper, in response to the accident, on April 1, the Third Highway Brigade of Tongling City, Anhui Province responded that the task force had intervened in the investigation. Subsequently, Xiaomi publicly released a summary of information before and after the "SU7 highway accident caused the death of three people", and the cause of the accident is still under further investigation by the police. On April 2, according to Jiemian News, an investor asked: Did the Xiaomi SU7 car that had an accident on March 29 use the company's battery? In response, CATL replied: It's not our battery. On the morning of April 2, The Paper called the customer service hotline of Xiaomi Auto's official website and asked what manufacturer produced the battery that Xiaomi SU7 was equipped with. The customer service staff responded that Xiaomi SU7 is divided into standard version, Pro version and Max version. Among them, the standard version is equipped with Fudi blade battery or CATL battery. "The two batteries are mixed and installed randomly. Car owners cannot choose when buying a car." The aforementioned customer service staff added that the Pro and Max versions are only equipped with batteries produced by CATL.
