Wen Yonggang, a fellow of the Academy of Engineering of Singapore and the Presidential Chair Professor of Nanyang Technological University, said in an interview in Nanning, Guangxi on the 19th that the economic policies, culture and business trends of ASEAN countries are different, and the needs for AI applications are also different. He hopes that China's artificial intelligence industry will combine the needs of Southeast Asian countries to form a benign development mechanism of joint technology research and development and shared value, and make contributions to the region in the global AI innovation system. The AI Empowerment Super League was launched in Nanning on the same day. The event focused on 17 key areas such as AI+automobile, overseas talents, cross-border e-commerce, smart cultural tourism, and smart agriculture. It is open to leading enterprises, scientific research teams, college students and individual developers in China and ASEAN countries, and encourages Chinese and ASEAN teams to form joint teams to participate in the competition and explore ASEAN application scenarios. Wen Yonggang said that Guangxi has the advantage of opening up and cooperating with ASEAN, and is willing to cooperate with all parties including Guangxi to strengthen the exchange of young talents under various mechanisms, and use Singapore's experience and technology in the development of artificial intelligence to achieve collaborative innovation.
