U.S. stocks closed: three major indexes rose and fell, chip stocks rose

The three major U.S. stock indexes rose and fell, with the Nasdaq up 1.24%, the S&P 500 up 0.55%, and the Dow down 0.06%. Chip stocks rose, with Nvidia up more than 3% and Micron Technology up more than 10%.
