TikTok surpasses Facebook in monthly active users in South Korea

According to data released by the Korean data service provider "IGAWorks Mobile Index" on the 19th, the monthly active users (MAU) of ByteDance's TikTok and its simplified version TikTok Lite reached 4,898,510 and 4,791,235 respectively. The total number of the two has surpassed Facebook's monthly active users (8,618,065). Although it is still less than the number of users of Instagram, TikTok has quickly spread among young people and its influence cannot be underestimated.
