The three major U.S. stock indexes opened higher, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.31%, the Nasdaq up 0.45%, and the S&P 500 up 0.37%. Nvidia rose nearly 1%, setting a new record high. Chip stocks strengthened, with Nvidia up 1.07% and Micron Technology up 0.7%, as its quarterly earnings forecast was better than expected. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index fell slightly.
